Traveling Thursday -Wild Wilderness Drive Through Safari, Gentry, Arkansas

The Wild Wilderness Drive Through Safari in Gentry, Arkansas, is a 400 acre farm with over 50 animal species. This is one of my favorite family outings. My family has been coming here since I was little and I enjoy sharing things I did when i was a kid to my kids now. Even my cranky teenagers get excited about Gentry, and love to take pictures of all the animals.

The safari not only has a drive-thru but they also have a a walk-thru area as well as a place where you can walk around with the animals. My kids’ favorite is getting in with the goats and watching them jump around. Honestly, I love the baby kangaroos. Unfortunately, Braxton liked them as well, and ended up getting a swift kick in the rear from one, lol.

Sam enjoying the animals coming up to the window. This was right before it licked it, yuck!

If you are in the area, stop by and treat your family to this grand adventure, and don’t forget to ride the camel while you’re there.

For 13 years I was a single mother until I married my handsome husband. Fast forward five years and we have added 3 sons and a daughter to our household. With all those kids I rarely have time to myself but my love of writing will always find a way. I have written books in the past. My range of genres is from romance novels to nonfiction historical, poetry, and children's books. I am currently working on a mystery book that should be a very exciting read I hope! I also love genealogy and have created my own forms which I will post later for people to download to use. I hope you enjoy my writings and recipes that I plan on sharing with you here.
